Do not give out financial or personal information unless you know for certain who you are talking to.
Report lost or stolen checks immediately.

Shred any financial solicitations and sensitive materials.
Put outgoing mail into a secure, official postal service collection box.
If a regular bill fails to reach you call the company and find out why.
If your bill include questionable items, don't ignore them.
Periodically check your credit report.
Don't leave sensitive documents out in the open.
Sign the back of your debit and credit cards.
